life update

Lately I’ve been feeling completely drained. In september I started a new job as a junior lawyer. With five years of experience working as a paralegal, I thought I was ready for the lawyer life, but I quickly realised just how much more responsibility comes with it.

I feel like I’m under constant pressure, and every day I get home from work I'm like a zombie, unable to do anything othher than to eat dinner and then doom scroll till I go to sleep. So this weekend I knew I needed to slow down and take some time to clear my mind.

My boyfriend and I decided to go for a walk around our local zoo. It was my first time seeing red pandas in real life and I swear I spent a good 30 minutes just watching them run around. They look like big fluffy stuffed animals come to life <33 I’m seriously in love and I already know I’ll be visiting these little guys all the time.

Of course, I took some pictures and wanted to share them with you guys :

I’ve been thinking about ways to keep my energy up throughout the day, because surely feeling mentally checked out after every workday can’t be my new normal. I don’t drink much coffee, and I’ll occasionally get a redbull when things get really rough, but I don’t want to get addicted to caffeine just to get through the day. My boyfriend suggested trying some supplements so I might look into that too.

If you have any tips or tricks for getting through the workday without feeling completely drained by the end of it, please let me know in the comments. And before anyone suggests getting more sleep, I swear I’m getting at least eight hours a night! T_T

Sincerely,

Teresa
